Cryptocurrency market celebrates Bitcoin’s 10th anniversary in a range

  • All major coins are in green, staying within the ranges.
  • DASH is the worst performer of the day so far.

Cryptocurrency market stays within consolidation pattern after a volatile start of the week. Most major coins recovered slightly, but failed to break free from their  respective  short-term ranges. Total market capitalization has settled at $203B.

One Bitcoin is going for  $6,297, marginally higher from this time on Wednesday. The world’s largest and oldest cryptocurrency celebrated its 10th anniversary with quiet consolidation and no fireworks.

Ethereum is changing hands at $197, amid low volatility. The second largest coin is recovering from an oversold territory, but the upside momentum is too weak to take it above critical $200 any time soon.

Ripple’s XRP gained 0.70% in recent 24 hours to trade at $0.4500 by press time. The third largest coin by market value touched $0.4593 on Wednesday, but the gains proved to be unsustainable.
