Unemployment Claims in the US and BBA Mortgage Approvals in the UK are the main events lined up. Let’s see what awaits us today.

In the US, Unemployment Claims, the unemployment insurance that has been filed on the last week for the first time, 365K is predicted now from 361K on November.

Later in the US, The Conference Board (CB) Consumer Confidence, Monthly Survey to measures the existing and future financial conditions such as labor availability and overall monetary situation, drop down is due from 73.7 points on November down to 70.3 now.

Later on in the US, New Home Sales, Annualized value of the new homes that were sold on the last month, rise is due from 368K on November up to 382K now.

In Great Britain, Nationwide House Price Index (HPI), calculates the selling price Change of homes with Nationwide’ mortgages 0.1% is forecasted now similar to the previous report.

Later in Great Britain, British Bankers’ Association (BBA) Mortgage Approvals, value the new BBA mortgages approved on the last month, 34.6K is due similar to the last report.

In Switzerland, UBS Consumption Indicator, Level of a composite index based on 5 consumer-based economic indicators, about to remain 1.31 points with no change from the last time.

In Japan, Household Spending, calculates all the consumers’ expenditures, rise up to 0.8% is due now from -0.1% on the last month.

Later in Japan, Tokyo Core Consumer Price Index (CPI), value the consumers’ price change of goods and services in Tokyo, (without fresh food), -0.5% is due with no change from the last time.

Later on in Japan, Retail Sales, Change in the total value of sales at the retail level, rise up to 1.2% is likely now from -1.2% on the previous report.
