<p>Bernanke&#8217;s pledge to <a title="Fed Extends Low Rate Commitment to Late 2014, NO QE3 – Dollar Falls" href="http://www.forexcrunch.com/fed-extends-low-rate-commitment-to-late-2014/">keep interest rates at near-zero levels until late 2014</a> and the openness towards QE3 hurt the dollar across the board and the euro certainly enjoyed it. <p>The European leaders <a title="Serious Progress Made in EU Summit – EUR/USD Flirts with 1.40" href="http://www.forexcrunch.com/serious-progress-made-in-eu-summit-eurusd-flirts-with-1-40/">went far by agreeing</a> on a 1 trillion EFSF fund, a 50% Greek haircut and also on Italian reforms. Together with <a title="US Economy Grew Nicely – EUR/USD Rises" href="http://www.forexcrunch.com/us-economy-grew-nicely-eurusd-rises/">nice US growth</a>, the markets were in a euro-phoria mode on Thursday, that faded out only a bit during Friday.
