Have you ever thought of giving it all up and turning your back away from forex trading? It probably happens to everybody. 8 forex bloggers share reasons to NOT quit trading.

Reasons to not quit trading – By Jakob from TradeProfits.net
The obvious reason why you want to quit trading is most likely due to huge losses along with being scammed by marketers promising rags to riches within the end of the week. You have tried just about everything and nothing seems to work. Quitting seems like the only reasonable choice to make. However, more often than not, this is the exact period where you learn some of the most important lessons as a forex trader. Because of expensive losses, you are likely to re-access your trading approach with a more realistic goal in mind. When this happens, the sense of urgency to make quick bucks diminishes, and hence the ability to make more rational trading decisions increases, often along with a stronger focus on money and risk management.
Read the rest of the article Reasons to Not Quit Trading

Over the years I have heard so many traders talk about how brokers are out to get their broker is out to get them. They complain about stops being to wide, platforms freezing, and being stopped out when they feel that they shouldn’t have been. These traders then flood message boards and begin to go on and on about how broker xyz ripped them off and are crooks and so on and so forth. While I can certainly see the appeal of blaming an unscrupulous broker for your trading losses the truth is that the vast majority of those accusations are completely unfounded. Why is that you ask? Well it’s simple really. It’s because your broker wants you to make money.

We have all been there before. You look at your charts and you see a classic pattern forming be it a head and shoulders or bear flag or any of the other well known trading patterns. Since you’ve seen this pattern many times before and you just know exactly what the market is going to do, you decide to load up on positions in anticipation of the big move you know is coming. You do this because you know exactly which way the market is going to go so it only makes sense for you get in position before it happen so that you can maximize your profits. This is a great idea but there is on problem, the move you were waiting for never happens, and in fact the market moves in the opposite direction leaving you with a nice sized hole in your account. Why did this happen? It’s simple, you but your cart before the horse.

They say that patience is a virtue but in the world of trading it can save your life. I have seen too many people come into this business in such a rush to make money that they jump on everything that moves and as a result end up taking lot of questionable trades that only result in them losing a large chunk, if not all of their trading account. Many of them become so discouraged that eventually they give up trading all together. This is a trap that many new traders fall victim to even though it is one that is easily avoided. If you want to avoid this all you have to do change your mindset and stop viewing trading as a sprint and instead view it as the marathon it really is.Guest post from visionsofaffluence.com

When you approach trading as a sprint you open up your charts and begin opening trades at he drop of a dime because you are only focused on winning as many trades as possible in the shortest amount of time in much the same way that a sprinter lines up and as soon as he is given the signal runs as fast as he possibly can in order to win a race. This is the exact opposite of what a marathoner does. In a marathon the racer paces himself throughout the race taking his time making sure not to over exert himself too soon so that when a opportunity arises he is able strike quickly and bring himself closer to the end goal of winning the race. This is what you need to do in your trading. You need to pace yourself. Think of your trading capital as your energy. You don’t want to come out of the gate too strong, take too many sub par trades, and end up losing your capital because once that happens you are out of the race or good. Instead you should be patient, conserve your energy, and only take good trades that have a high probability of success, because after all trading is a numbers game and in order to be successful you have to stack the odds as high in your favor as possible. If you can learn to do that then you should have no problem winning the gold.
Read the rest of the article Are You A Sprinter Or A Marathoner?
