AUD/NZD Technical Analysis: Vulnerable after being rejected from 1.0700

  • The pair peaked yesterday above 1.0700, the highest level in a week but failed to hold and pulled back significantly, showing no strength in the Aussie to break the current range.
  • The daily chart shows AUD/NZD vulnerable to the downside with price moving to the critical support seen around 1.0620/30 but still in the consolidation range around 1.0650. A daily close significantly below 1.0620 would signal more losses and a test of November lows. Below the next support is seen around 1.0550.
  • A recovery above 1.0700 and also on top of 1.0710 (20-day moving average) would point to more gain with a short-term target at 1.0750.
