Reuters reports a statement released by China’s Foreign Ministry on Monday, citing that China will host the Iranian President Hassan Rouhani next month at a regional summit in order to avoid the disruption of joint projects, following the US withdrawal from Iran’s nuclear deal. The statement did not give exact dates for his visit, but the summit is scheduled to be held on the second weekend of June in the northern Chinese city of Qingdao. The Chinese deputy foreign minister Zhang Hanhui said at a briefing, “our hope is that China and Iran will have a close consultation on the basis of observing the deal and push forward the development of bilateral cooperation. We should together look into how to avoid major disruption of joint projects between the two sides.” FX Street FX Street FXStreet is the leading independent portal dedicated to the Foreign Exchange (Forex) market.
