Reuters reports comments from China’s Commerce Ministry when asked about latest US trade measures against China.

China is not willing to see an escalation in China-US trade frictions.

China believes China and US have huge potential in cooperation opportunities.

Hopes the US can implement measures discussed during Washington meetings.

The US measures against China’s investments are against WTO rules, China will carefully monitor situation and reserves right to release countermeasures.
