CNBC’s Javers: Senior officials: There is no indication of an imminent trade deal with China

CNBC’s Washington correspondent Eamon Javers recently delivered updates on the U.S. – China trade talks via Twitter.

“Three senior administration officials now telling me there is no indication of an imminent trade deal with China.  Options are always being discussed behind the scenes, but no significant progress, I’m told.”

“Focus on this from the W. Times interview with POTUS last night: “He doesn’t expect to announce a trade deal with China at the G-20 summit later this month”, “Eventually, we are going to make a very reasonable deal with China. I can tell you they want to make it.”
