Coronavirus update US: Arizona cases increase by 2,339 to 168,273

The latest data published by Arizona’s health department showed that the number of confirmed coronavirus cases in the state rose by 2,339 to a total of 168,273 on Wednesday, as reported by Reuters.

Further details of the report revealed that COVID-19-related fatalities rose by 46 to 3,454 and the current hospitalizations fell by140 to 2,424.

Market reaction

These figures don’t seem to be having a significant impact on market sentiment. As of writing, the S&P 500 Index was up 0.75% on the day at 3,242 and the US Dollar Index was down 0.28% at 93.45.
