BTC/USD finally had a bearish day, following four consecutive bullish sessions. The rest of the market followed suit as well and experienced a heavily bearish day. Let’s take a closer look at how the top three did and then reveal the biggest winners and losers of the day, among the top 20 coins.
Top three coins
- Bitcoin: BTC/USD fell from $12,580 to $12,080 over the day. The bulls managed to break past the $13,000-barrier and reach a high of $13,200 this Wednesday when the bears took control and the market came crashing down.
- Ethereum: ETH/USD had a second bearish day in a row and fell from the $300-level. ETH/USD went down from $308 to $288.15 over the day. Today’s and yesterday’s bearish action completely negated the work down by the bulls before that, which saw the price go up from $283.60 to $313.75 over four days.
- Ripple: XRP/USD crashed from $0.394 to $0.359 this Wednesday. Tuesday was a bearish day as well, wherein XRP/USD fell from the $0.40 level. The price has been trending in a downwards channel formation since 30th June.
Biggest winners and losers
- EOS lost 11.36% of its price and is currently trading for $5.23.
- Cosmos (ATOM) went down by 10.94% and is trading for $4.48.
- Litecoin (LTC) went down 9.46% and is trading for $108.21.
