Below are some additional highlights from the EIA’s monthly report, in which it revealed that crude oil production in the U.S. rose 129,000 barrels per day in September to lift the average daily production in the month to a new all-time high of 11.475 million barrels.
- Total oil demand in September up 1.6 pct or 310,000 bpd versus last year at 19.951 mln bpd (vs 5.2 pct rise in Aug).
- September gasoline demand down 2.8 pct or 260,000 bpd versus last year at 9.118 mln bpd (vs unchanged in Aug).
- Crude oil exports rose to 2.116 mln bpd in Sept (vs 1.749 mln bpd in Aug).
- Gasoline exports rose to 857,000 bpd in Sept (vs 699,000 bpd in Aug).
