EUR/USD Technical Analysis: Stays negative and looks to 1.1299

  • Spot came under renewed selling pressure in the middle of the week, testing fresh lows in the 1.1330 region and remaining poised for further pullbacks.
  • Immediate target in case of the continuation of the downtrend emerges the critical 200-week SMA, today at 1.1316. This is considered the last defense for a test of YTD low at 1.1299 seen in mid-August.
  • On the flip side, occasional bullish attempts should find interim hurdle at the 10-day SMA at 1.1413 ahead of the 21-day SMA at 1.1474.
