EU’s Tajani: Brexit extension should not go beyond April 18

According to the Guardian’s Brussels correspondent Jennifer Rankin, European Parliament President Tajani in a press conference said that Brexit extension should not go beyond April 18 in order for the UK to have enough time to prepare for an EU election on May 23.

“The European parliament could organise “an extraordinary session” to ratify Brexit deal after last session in April says Antonio Tajani. The date will be choice of EU leaders, he adds,” Rankin tweeted out.
