European Council President Donald Tusk was on the wires last hour, citing that he asked the European Parliament to approved Germany’s Ursula von der Leyen as the next head of the European Commission, Reuters reports.

Tell European parliament that it is clear only when we are united can we counter balance the most powerful global players.

There is still room for improvements as regards geographical balance, especially from eastern Europe, on EU jobs.
