EU’s von der Leyen: EU and US have resolved 17-year dispute over aircraft subisidies

The United States and the European Union have resolved the 17-year dispute over aircraft subsidies,  European Commission president Ursula von der Leyen announced on Tuesday, as reported by Reuters.

“This meeting has started with a breakthrough on aircraft. This really opens a new chapter in our relationship because we move from litigation to cooperation on aircraft – after 17 years of dispute,” von der Leyen told reporters.

Market reaction

This headline doesn’t seem to be having a noticeable impact on market sentiment. At the moment, the Euro Stoxx 50 Index is up 0.35% on the day at 4,147.
