Federal Reserve’s CEO of Dallas, said that Kaplan said he is not confident that policymakers are not swayed by politics.
There was an earlier article that came out in the Wall Street Journal where New York Fed President Bill Dudley which was centred around politics and the risks that Trump will get the green light to escalate trade wars if the Fed curs rates.
FX implications:
The point here is a firm one and will come into the fray over the next few weeks in the run up to the Fed’s meeting in September. The Dollar will be at the mercy of the Fed and indeed risk-off markets.
