Forex Daily Outlook December 12 2012

FOMC Statement in the US and Claimant Count Change in the UK are the main events today.   Here is an outlook on the market-movers awaiting us

In the US, Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) Statement, the primary FOMC tool to communicate with investors regarding financial policy, interest rates and other policy measures. Followed by a FOMC Economic Projections that is scheduled 4 times per year and finishes with FOMC Press Conference.

Later in the US, Import Prices, value the price change of domestically imported goods and services, due to reduce down to -0.4% from 0.5% on November.

Also in the US, Crude Oil Inventories, weekly parameter to measure the commercial firms barrels of crude oil that is held in inventory, -2.6M is due now from -2.4M on the last week.

Finally in the US Federal Budget Balance, value the difference between the federal government’s income and spending; -160.0B is likely now from -120.0B in November. While on the Federal Funds Rate 0.25% is due similar to the previous time.

In Europe, The Economic and Financial Affairs Council (ECOFIN) Meetings, the Eurozone’s broadest financial decision making body and the meeting is due in Brussels attended by Finance Ministers from EU member states.

Later in Europe, Industrial Production, value the manufacturers, mines, and utilities output, rise up to 0.3% id expected now form -2.5% on the last month.

In Great Britain, Claimant Count Change, calculates the people that are claiming unemployment benefits on the last month, 5.9K is predicted now from 10.1K on the last report.

Later in Great Britain, Unemployment Rate, measures by percentage all the unemployed that are actively seeking for jobs on the last 3 months, rise of 0.1% up to 7.9% is forecasted this time.

Finally in Great Britain, Spencer Dale, Bank of England (BOE) Chief Economist is due to speak in London.

In Switzerland, Zentrum fur Europaische Wirtschaftsforschung (ZEW) Economic Expectations, Monthly Survey to rate the economic outlook for Switzerland over the past 6 months, -27.9 points are due similar to the previous index.

In Australia, Glenn Stevens, Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) Governor is due to speak in Bangkok
