Forex Daily Outlook September 25 2012

CB Consumer Confidence in the US and Retail Sales in Canada are the main events lined up.  Let’s see what awaits us today.

In the US, The Conference Board (CB) Consumer Confidence, Monthly Survey to rate the present and future financial conditions including labor availability and business conditions, 62.9 points are due now from 60.6 on August.

Later in the US, Standard & Poor’s (S&P) / Case-Shiller (CS), /CS Composite-20 House Price Index (HPI), rise of 1% is estimated now up to 1.5% from 0.5% on August.

Finally in the US, Timothy Geithner, US Treasury Secretary is due to speak in New York.

In Canada, Retail Sales, Value all the sales at the retail level, rise from -0.4% on August up to 0.4% now is estimated. And similar is forecasted on the Core Retail Sales (without cars) from -0.3% on August up to 0.4% now.

Later in Canada, Bank of Canada (BOC) Deputy Governor, Timothy Lane; is due to speak in Calgary.

In Europe, Mario Draghi, European Central Bank (ECB) President is due to speak in Berlin.

Later in Europe, GfK German Consumer Climate, Survey to rate the past and future financial conditions, including personal financial situation and overall financial situation, rise of 1 point from August is likely up to 6.0 points this time.

In Great Britain, British Bankers’ Association (BBA) Mortgage Approvals, important indicator of housing market demand to value the new mortgages that were approved for home purchase by BBA-represented banks, rise of 0.2K from the previous month is predicted now up to 28.6K.

More in Great Britain, Paul Fisher, Bank of England (BOE) Executive Director, is due to speak in London.

In Switzerland, Thomas Jordan, Swiss National Bank (SNB) Governing Board Chairman, is about to deliver a speech  in Pfäffikon.

In Australia, RBA Financial Stability Review, It’s an assessment of conditions in the financial system and potential risks to financial stability that is released twice a year.

Later in Australia, Guy Debelle, RBA Assistant Governor (Financial Markets) is due to speak in Melbourne.
