FX Trader of the Year Contest – Registration Open

Leading forex portal FXStreet launches the 5th edition of its FX Trader of the Year contest in collaboration with Hantec markets.

Participants will trade using demo accounts from September 17th to October 26th and the winners will received great prizes. In previous years, the contest was quite fierce, and traders learned a lot from this event.

Here are more details about this event, from the official press release:

Barcelona, August 9th 2012 “” FXstreet.com is organizing the 5th edition of the FX Trader of the Year Contest, a competition open to all individuals who are minimum 18 years old, excluding residents of the US, Iran, Syria and North Korea. This year the contest will be conducted on DEMO accounts only.

The contest will start on September 17th, 2012 at 0:00am GMT and will end October 26th, 2012 at 9pm GMT, when all open positions will be closed and all profit and loss (P&L) will be realised. All contestants will start with USD 25,000 of virtual funds in their trading accounts and will all have a leverage of 1:100.

Hantec Markets is the sponsor of the contest. The winner will be the contestant with the highest Account Equity. The runner-up will be the contestant with the second highest Account Equity, and the third place will be the contestant with the third highest Account Equity.

Francesc Riverola, CEO of FXstreet.com, remembers previous editions: “We have seen traders being in first position until a few days or hours before the competition ends… The contest takes place in a relatively short period of time which makes it very intense and can bring big surprises in the ranking until the very last moment.”
