Gen Z not interested in buying cryptocurrency?

  •  52% of the 1,884 people surveyed said that they had no interest in buying cryptocurrency.
  • Results of the Kaspersky Lab survey showed that 19% of global population has purchased crypto.

According to a recent survey, Generation Z is not planning to buy cryptocurrency. As per the report, 1,884 US residents (between the ages of 13 to 21) were surveyed to learn their opinions about digital currencies. The participants of the survey were asked about the likeliness of them purchasing cryptocurrency in the next six months, and over 52% of them said: “not at all”.

Around 5% answered “extremely likely”, 6% said “very likely”, 15% somewhat likely, 17% said “not so likely”, while 4% gave several vague answers. Interestingly, though the results were recently published, the survey was conducted in January, before the recent bull market started.

Business Insider said:

“The reinvigorated market could cause some of the teens in the survey to rethink their position, and it may spur the 26% who said they were somewhat likely, very likely, or extremely likely to purchase cryptocurrency to pull the trigger.”

On a similar note, a recent survey by Kaspersky Lab, a Moscow-based cybersecurity firm revealed that 19% of the global population has purchased cryptocurrency. Another survey conducted by Fidelity Investments, a US-based asset management firm showed that 22% of institutional investors already own digital assets.
