IEA’s Birol: Many countries current account deficits have been affected by high oil prices

The International Energy Agency (IEA) Executive Director Faith Birol is on the wires now, via Reuters, noting that many countries current account deficits have been affected by high oil prices.

Southeast Asia needs power sector investment of $1.25 trillion to 2040.

This is equivalent to around $50 billion per year on average, twice the current level.
