The Indian financial newspaper, the Economic Times, reported the recent comments by the Indian Telecoms and IT Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad, citing that the Indian companies supplying US-made technology components to the Chinese Huawei Technologies may face penalties under the US regulations.
Further, Prasad said the government has not yet taken a call on whether to ban the Chinese telecom equipment maker
