Ireland’s Coveney: Won’t be shocked it Brexit talks fall apart

Irish Times quoted Ireland’s Foreign Minister Simon Coveney saying that a Brexit deal is more likely than not but won’t be shocked if it falls apart. If there is no deal in the next few days, then there would be very serious problems with ratification and timelines.

The comments did little to influence the British pound or provide any meaningful impetus to the GBP/USD pair, which was seen hovering near the lower end of its daily range, just above the 1.3400 mark.
