Speaking at the EPP congress in Helsinki, Irish Prime Minister Leo Varadkar, as tweeted by RTE’s Europe Editor – Tony Connelly, said that the internal political difficulties facing the British Prime Minister Theresa May cannot allow Ireland to soften its position on the backstop.
