Citing a 5-Star source, Reuters has recently reported that the leaders of League and 5-Star were having a meeting to find a substitute for Paolo Savona to be nominated as a candidate for the ministry of economy, and they were hoping to reach a government agreement either later today or tomorrow.
Earlier in the day, Katya Adler, BBC’s Europe editor, elaborated on today’s political developments with a tweet: “The Italian President is in meetings with all political players involved in possibly forming new government. Presumably urging calm and avoidance of collision course with Brussels. The wild card is the League.”
