Japanese exports to US fall for the first time in 17 months

Japanese exports to the US fell 0.9 percent year-on-year in June – the first decline in 17 months.  

Still, Japan could become a target of Trump’s tariff plan as the imports from the US dropped 2.1 percent, pushing the  trade surplus with the US higher by 0.5 percent year-on-year to  590.3 billion yen ($5.24 billion), according to Reuters.
