Motegi met with US Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer yesterday, while Finance Minister Aso had a meeting with Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin, and talked about currencies. Reports are doing the rounds that Japan’s Prime Minister Shinzo Abe is planning to meet President Donald Trump in Washington later today. Motegi reached US yesterday for the second round of trade talks aimed at securing a speedy deal focused on agriculture and vehicles.
