Former BitTorrent torrent employee Tong Zhou is one of 115,000 clients of Quadriga CX, who lost all their money following the death of Gerald Cotten, the exchange’s CEO. Zhou, a software engineer, deposited $422,000 to Quadriga CX to transfer them to a Canadian bank however nobody can access those funds following Cotten’s death.
Justin Sun, Tron’s CEO, was moved by Zhou’s plight and offered to help him out by providing him a job at BitTorrent. Sun tweeted:
“Tong Zhou was an ex-@BitTorrent employee and I am saddened by the news of the loss of his life savings in Quadriga CX’s digital EX. I sympathize with his predicament and would like to hereby extend an offer to him to once again return to #BitTorrent. #TRON”
