NZ FinMin Robertson: New Reserve Bank Act legislation tabled in parliament on Tuesday

New Zealand’s (NZ) Finance Minister Grant Robertson said on Tuesday, the “new Reserve Bank Act legislation is tabled in parliament today.”

New changes are undertaken to complement the recently updated monetary policy objectives, he added.

Earlier today, Foreign Minister Winston Peters announced the suspension of its extradition treaty with Hong Kong (HK).

NZD/USD trades with mild gains amid a risk-on mood on coronavirus vaccine hopes but the further upside appears capped, in light of the US-China tensions.

At the press time, the kiwi adds 0.10% to trade at 0.6688.
