Support for Italy’s Lega is up 8% since March 4 election – IPSOS poll

According to the latest IPSOS opinion poll, the support for Italy’s Lega party has increased to 25.4%, up 8% since the March 4 general election.

Meanwhile, the support for Five-Star movement party is maintained at 32.6%.

Markets fret that the fresh elections could deliver a stronger mandate to the anti-Euro establishment parties.

Separately, Siri reported that Lega is considering requesting Paolo Savona to be part of the government again, as a Finance/ Economy Minister should they form a coalition government with Five Star movement party.
