AFB FX sponsors the competition and the winner will be the contestant with the highest Account Equity. The runner-up will be the contestant with the second highest Account Equity, and the third place will be the contestant with the third highest.

“The Trader of The Year is becoming an important event in our site”, says Carolina May, CEO of  FXstreet.com. “We are launching now the 6th edition. We have found the support of many brokers along the years. This proves the industry’s interest for the initiative.” The idea behind
the competition is for traders to compete with each other, but not only: “We hope to generate a place for learning, trading, sharing strategies and of course offering a reward to the winners”, stresses May. “Giving a relatively limited period of time (1 month) for the traders to get a profitable record encourages them to have a clear vision of their strategy and how they will control risk.”

Prizes are provided by the sponsor of the competition, AFB FX, and by the Media Partners: Currensys, fxKnight.com, BKForex.com, Pro Trader Strategies and StrategyQuant.
