British Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s spokeswoman crossed the wires in the last minutes, announcing that the PM will be holding a cabinet meeting at 15:00 GMT in Downing Street on Friday.
“If the Brexit deal is approved, the bill to implement the deal could begin legislative process as early as Monday,” the spokeswoman noted. “The PM and his team will be speaking to lawmakers from across parliament today.”
The British Pound largely ignored these comments and the GBP/USD pair was last seen posting small gains near the 1.2900 handle.
