UK reporting “progress” on Irish border talks – UK Press

According to UK media outlet ITV, the UK is making headway on Irish border talks as Britain and the EU continue to try to hammer out a Brexit deal before November with the clock winding down, but details and hard solutions to the current laundry-list of Brexit problems both remain elusive.

The UK’s chief Brexit negotiator, Olly Robbins, has apparently made “meaningful progress” in Irish border negotiations with the EU, which up until this point has represented a significant sticking point in the UK’s exit negotiations.

Continued positive headlines could see the Cable propped up heading through the mid-week, but if these talks again go nowhere and the two sides return to their respective camps empty-handed, markets can expect increasingly bearish reactions to repetitiously failing negotiations.
