The UK’s chief Brexit negotiator David Frost told reporters on Thursday that they have completed their discussions with the EU.
“The negotiations have been comprehensive and useful,” Frost noted. “They have also underlined the significant differences that still remain between us on a number of important issues.”
Frost further reminded that talks will continue next week in London.
Market reaction
These comments don’t seem to be having a significant impact on the GBP’s performance against its rivals. As of writing, the GBP/USD pair was up 0.35% on the day at 1.2513.
