In its latest monthly report,  the Energy Information Administration (EIA) said that the crude oil production in the United States increased by 215,000 barrels per day to reach a record high of 10.47 million barrels per day in March, as reported by Reuters.

On the other hand, the EIA also revised February’s production figure down to 10.26 million barrels per day from 10.31 million barrels per day. According to the report, North Dakota’s oil output decreased by 1,000 bpd in March while Texas’ rose by 59,000 bpd.

At the moment, the barrel of West Texas Intermediate trading at $67.10,  losing $1, or 1.5%, on the day.
