“There is a good chance a coronavirus relief bill will pass,” US Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer told CNN on Wednesday.
“I believe the pressure will mount on Republicans to pass a coronavirus aid bill,” Schumer added.
Market reaction
These comments don’t seem to be having a significant impact on the greenback’s performance against its rivals. As of writing, the US Dollar Index was up 0.06% on the day at 93.58. Meanwhile, the S&P 500 futures are up 0.9%, suggesting that Wall Street’s main indexes are likely to open the day decisively higher.
