Major equity indexes in the United States opened the day in the positive territory on Tuesday as the risk-on mood is starting to dominate the market action. At the moment, the Dow Jones Industrial Average is up 0.5% on the day while the S&P 500 and the Nasdaq Composite are adding 0.35% and 0.33%, respectively. Meanwhile, the CBOE Volatility Index, Wall Street’s fear gauge, is down nearly 5% to reflect improved sentiment. Among the 11 major S&P 500 sectors, energy and industrials are both gaining more than 0.6% to lead the early rally. On the other hand, utilities is the only sector in the negative territory in the early trade.
