Forex Hacking – New Ebook for All Traders
Jakob Dupont Knudsen of TradeProfits has written a comprehensive book about forex trading. The new book is for beginners as well as seasoned traders. Here’s a review and a hand out.
Forex Hacking begins from giving good habits to new traders: Knudsen lays out a proper trade log. He then goes to deal with risk management, an important aspect that is neglected by many traders.
The book continues to separating breakouts from “fakeouts”, trading the news, advanced technical analysis and lots more. I found the chapter about Gap Trading very interesting. Forex Hacking will be launched on Tuesday, February 16th.
The author has agreed to hand out 4 free copies to Forex Crunch readers! All you have to do is comment on this post with a valid email until Monday, February 15th 23:59 GMT. I’ll randomly pick 4 winners on Tuesday and announce them.
In the comment, you may ask Jakob any question you like, or write anything you wish…
Thank you everybody. I’m happy to see so much interest. The comments are closed, and the winners will be announced in the early hours of the afternoon GMT, together with the official launch of the book.
About the author, in his own words:
My name is Jakob Knudsen. I am a guy in the late twenties from Denmark. I have been interested in day trading for almost as long as I can remember . I have been involved with forex trading for about six years now. This has been on and off, as I have been studying and working at the same time. Practice and real accounts. I sure have lost my share in this game, but I see this as an “educational fee”. I was, like the majority of other traders, dragged into this game from fake claims, promising me millions overnight. I had a good time in the beginning, especially when demo trading, but I soon realized that this was not as easy as I had been promised. I then started buying EA´s, signal services, systems, etc. I have been all over the place, and realized that most of these services and products is nothing but hot air. A few good ones and a lot of bad ones! Getting started in forex trading takes time, and luckily I kept trying. Now I am not claiming to be a guru, but I sure have learned a lot throughout the years, and this is what I am sharing in this book. I am not telling anyone they will be rich overnight through forex trading, and my book will not make them millionaires either. I am just so sick and tired of seeing these typical scroll-down-for-two-hours-and-read-how-to-get-rich-overnight-pain-in-the-ass-fake sales pages.

Day trading has always been my interest. Firstly stocks and now Forex. Your approach seems to be “hands on” and acquired through practice, failures and successes. A disciplined approach is my goal too, I would certainly like to read the book.
This is going to be very valuable stuff for all trader, but please don’t hack this website, I really like it.

I am a new learner about forex trading. I am reading the comments and reviews everyday in this website. It is helping me a lot. I hope the new book will also enhance my knowledge about forex trading.
“The education is cheap our ignorance is expensiv …” nice work, keep me in touche with this book
Nothing beats experience. Its something you can’t buy overnight. Been through so many indicators looking for the Holy Grail that surprisingly, looking at the chart with naked eyes, you can actually start to feel where the market is going and run with it. Mainly a psychological warfare at least in my experience.
I always like reading other people’s experiences and perspectives on this business. I believe our own experience is important, but it is also necessary to compare ourselves to others and maybe learn from their mistakes.
I would like to be added to the list but I would also like to purchase the book when available
cant wait to read this.

I have been trying forex for last 2 years and read several books, Mostly I am using 1hr time frame for trading, I am not sure about a particular formula about risk management eventhough I have read in details about it in several books, My experienece tells me that if I will be able to keep my losses small even though use trade with 70% of my account money I will be fine which is opposite to almost all risk management rules which allow a max of 12% of account for active trading?

I have walked a similar path to that of the author. I have been learning for the last 3+ years, trading live for 2 1/2 years. Bought a 3000 dollar course which was supposedly so successful that people actually had to convince the author to share her knowledge. We calculated on Excel spreadsheet how many weeks it will take us to be dollar millionares. Then I started losing money and realizing that this is a tough game and what may work for one does not necessarily work for another. What I found most useful is just learning a lot about the subject and testing various claims to see it they are legitimate. But the best learning experience for me was just spending several thousands of hours in front of the screen watching the charts, watching to price move and after some point realizing various behavioral characteristics of the market. Then, we I myself started realizing things and started spotting patterns is when I feel I started to understand the markets. After that I slowly started to lose less and less and gain more and more. I have been profitable in the last 9 months. But I keep learning the amazing nature of the beast…
Trading: Especially Forex trading with consistent gains and small draw downs take time, knowledge, patience and implementation of learning from mistakes and from others.
As you said it is not get rich quick thing. It is a profession and depends on how well you perform.
Self made : I am into trading from last 12 month now and have come to a point where if I loses I gain back and end on either making small gains and or small draw downs. but still not consistent in profit making.
Any input from you will help.
