Breaking News: GBP/USD recovers as Sky News says there will be short statement after cabinet meeting

Quoting Sky News political correspondent, Reuters recently reported that Minister Nick Hurd, who said that British Prime Minister May wouldn’t deliver a statement following the cabinet meeting later today, misspoke and a short statement will be published later in the day.

After slumping to 1.2915 with the initial reaction, the GBP/USD pair recovered and was last seen flat on the day around 1.2980.
