Adding to this earlier comments, Irish foreign minister Simon Coveney was further noted saying that there is potential for a new statement or declaration from the EU on the backstop to help reassure the UK parliament if need be.
It, however, remains to be seen if the UK PM Theresa May is able to secure legal assurance to fix an end-date to the backstop.
