According to CNBC, Senator Chuck Grassley said that United States Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer saw little progress in last week’s talks between Chinese and US officials to settle the trade dispute.

The initial market reaction to this headline weighed on the market sentiment and the Dow Jones Industrial turned flat on the day while the S&P 500 and the Nasdaq Composite erased a small part of their early gains.
