EC Pres. Tusk spokesman: Backstop is part of withdrawal agreement, it is not up for renegotiation

A spokesman for European Council President Donald Tusk has recently crossed the wires reiterating that the backstop was a part of the withdrawal and was not up for renegotiation. “The withdrawal agreement is and remains the best and only way to ensure orderly Brexit,” the spokesman further added.
