Japan’s economy minister Motegi is out on the wires informing markets that the first round of trade talks with the US are scheduled for April.
The negotiations are expected to be tough with Tokyo maintaining that the trade talks will primarily focus on goods only. The US, however, is looking for a comprehensive pact that would cover not only goods but services and investment and may include exchange rate provision.
