The leading cryptocurrency exchange by adjusted daily trading volume, Binance is preparing to launch a new fiat-to-crypto exchange in Singapore. The chief executive officer of Binance Changpeng Zhao made the announcement on Thursday during the Deconomy event held in Seoul, South Korea. The tweet he shared reads:

“#Binance Singapore will come online in April. It will be our next Fiat to Crypto exchange servicing $SGD [Singapore dollar].”

The plan to launch another trading platform was first mentioned by Zhao in September during CoinDesk’s Consensus event held in Singapore. Zhao said that Binance had plans to start a fiat-to-crypto exchange on most of the continents.

In October, via a Medium post, the Malta-based firm said that it was going to set up the Singapore exchange in collaboration with Vertex Ventures and that beta testing has started in September.
