Earlier during Asian Friday, Washington Post came out with a news report that says that the US President Donald Trump is preparing to threaten Mexico with tariffs and may also try to force Mexico to crack down on migrants seeking asylum in US.

The news had a negative impact on the Mexican Peso (MXN) as it slumped after the announcement.
