While everybody was waiting for the outlook of the US-Mexico White House talks on tariff removal, the NBC was the first to roll out a news report that conveyed the negative outcome of the talks.

The news report mentions that no deal on immigration was reached during the latest White House talks.

USD/MXN surged to the early month high after the news while risk sentiment weakened.
