Crypto market update: Bears on top, but bulls try to fight back

  • BTC/USD bears are trying to move the price down to $10,000.
  • Chainlink (LINK) is the biggest loser among the top 20 coins.

The bears and bulls are engaged in a tight tug-of-war as this Monday comes to a close. Even though the bears are still on top, the bulls are trying to fight back. Let’s take a closer look at how the top three did and then reveal the biggest winners and losers of the day, among the top 20 coins.

Top three coins

  • Bitcoin (BTC): Following this Friday’s bullish comeback, the bears took over the BTC/USD over the weekend and well into this Monday. BTC/USD has gone down by 15.15% over this period, falling from $12,375 to $10,500.
  • Ethereum (ETH): ETH/USD is priced at $290.50 after the bulls and bears pretty much canceled each other out. The bulls initially took the price up to $298.65, where they met resistance. The bears then took over and brought the price down to $281.50, where the price found support and rebounded back up to $290.50.
  • Ripple (XRP): XRP/USD has re-entered the $0.40 after this Sunday’s bearish movement. The price has gone up from $0.393 to $0.40.

Biggest winners and losers (top 20 coins)

  • Chainlink (LINK) has gone down by 8.84% and is priced at $3.44.
  • Litecoin (LTC) has gone down by 7.59% and is trading for $119.68.
