When asked about the trade deal with China during a Fox News interview on Friday, US President Trump said he was having a “hard time with China” and noted that he has not yet made any decisions.
“Some states, including California, could move quicker toward reopening amid coronavirus outbreak,” Trump added. Commenting on the Nonfarm Payrolls report, “all those lost jobs will be back very soon,” Trump said.
Market reaction
The US Dollar Index largely ignored these comments and was last seen flat on the day at 99.83.
