Russian PM Medvedev: Don’t think the current tensions between Russia and western countries will last forever

In an interview with Kommersant daily on Tuesday, Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev  said he believes the tensions between Russia and western countries will not last forever.

Key Quotes (via TASS):

“I don’t think the current problems (tensions between Russia and western countries – TASS) will last forever. I believe that our European neighbours are coming to see that it is better to work together and be friends than to keep telling us we are wrong. I hope the United States and its leadership will eventually see this as well. Our door is open.”

“The more so that it was not us who initiated the sanctions campaign, restrictions, the expulsion of diplomats and economic pressure,” he noted. “In this sense, the ball has always been in their court. They only need to indicate a desire to resume relations. We are always ready and willing.”
