Japan’s FSA: Japanese regional banks need to “get their act together”

In an interview on Wednesday, Japan’s Financial Services Agency (FSA) Commissioner, Toshihide Endo, asked the regional banks not to blame the Bank of Japan’s (BoJ) monetary policy for their woes.

Additional Comments:

They should explore how to survive under current situation.

And not just sit and wait for the BOJ to change its monetary policy.

They need to “get their act together”.

Some regional banks are not considering seriously how to build a sustainable business model despite gloomy prospects for the industry.
